Same as version 4 except that version 5 contains a mechanical bond.
This is a simple tool. After the first shot is molded, press opens, rotary platen with common cores rotates 180 degrees. The step at the parting line is not shutting off during first shot. The step has clearance so there is no tool wear. The step provides the second shot an opportunity to get the material below the part but not underneath it.
Relationship to Concept Part
All criteria met except there is some material missing underneath the part.
Advantages: Simple tooling, low maintenance cost.
Disadvantages: Does not meet all the requirements of the concept part. |
